Avignon
Avignon, a strategic site in the Rhone valley, traces its origins to the towering Doms rock. With the arrival of the popes in the 14th century, the city became a second Rome.

Saint Bénezet Bridge
St Bénezet bridge, the bridge of legend.
Major symbol of Avignon history, known all over the world thanks to the beloved children’s song. Built in the 12th century, it was damaged by raging flood waters of the Rhône river several times, and was constantly rebuilt until the 17th century. Ranked by UNESCO as World Heritage for Humanity. New space devoted to the famous song.
